KTVI Founding Commemorative Symposium Held (May 12, Fukuoka)

6/7/25, 9:00 AM

On May 12, we successfully held the founding commemorative symposium of the Kyushu-Taiwan Future Institute.

More than 80 guests from industry, government, academia, and education attended, engaging in practical dialogue on industry, education, and talent development centered on Kyushu and Taiwan.

We would like to once again express our heartfelt thanks for your warm interest and active participation.

At the symposium, a diverse group of speakers held lively discussions on industrial collaboration between Kyushu and Taiwan sparked by TSMC's Kumamoto plant, as well as the challenges and outlook for talent development in the semiconductor field.

In response to challenges in Japan such as labor shortages and young people's inward-looking tendencies, the event offered many insights through examples of Taiwan's flexible and rapid responsiveness and its practical approach to education.

The event was covered by various media outlets and was also introduced in Taiwanese media through a contributed article by Lin Hong-wen.

Through continued collaboration with all of you, we will redouble our efforts to contribute to fruitful Japan–Taiwan cooperation and regional development.
