"2026 Japan–Taiwan Co-Creation AI Workshop" Held at Tamkang University (March 6, Taipei)

3/6/26, 12:00 PM

On March 6, 2026, the Kyushu-Taiwan Future Institute (KTVI) held the "2026 Japan–Taiwan Co-Creation AI Workshop" together with Tamkang University (Taiwan) at the university's College of AI.

This workshop was held to put into practice the "Next-Generation Leader Development Program" agreed with Tamkang University in November 2025. Managers and young professionals from companies in Kyushu traveled to Taiwan and learned, through hands-on practice, how to apply AI to business activities and daily work.

■ A day built around practice and co-creation
The program was designed around two things: "actually working with your hands" and "bringing together different perspectives." The dense, one-day format covered a great deal, and some participants found it challenging, but it gave them a real sense of the depth and possibilities of using AI across fields.

As discussion and hands-on work went on, the perspectives of participants from different cultural backgrounds in Japan and Taiwan came together, and new ideas emerged.

■ What the workshop produced
Within a single day, participants jointly created tools such as:
・A business email writing tool supporting Japanese and Chinese
・A tool that automatically organizes weekly reports
・A tool that summarizes meeting conclusions on a single page

■ Participant feedback
On behalf of the participants, Junichiro Eguchi, Senior Managing Director of Kyoei Building Partners Co., Ltd., shared his impressions. He noted that with TSMC's arrival in Kyushu, cross-border collaboration and management have become new challenges for local companies, and said that the practical AI framework presented by Tamkang University will support companies' sustainable growth and the upskilling of their people.

■ Looking ahead
KTVI positions this workshop as a place to practice "cross-border next-generation leadership development." Together with Tamkang University and other partners in Taiwan, we will continue to expand opportunities for Japan–Taiwan co-creative learning that connects AI, education, and industry.

We sincerely thank all participants and everyone at Tamkang University's College of AI for their cooperation.
