GEN×BORDER Cohort 1 Completes the Program: Turning Japan–Taiwan Cross-Border Learning into Action

4/18/26, 12:00 PM

On April 18, 2026, Cohort 1 of GEN×BORDER, the Japan–Taiwan cross-border leadership program organized by the Kyushu-Taiwan Future Institute, completed the program.

GEN×BORDER is a program that crosses the boundaries of generation, country and region, role and position, and field of expertise. Through dialogue and practice with diverse people, participants deepen their own questions and build the capacity to lead change.

In Cohort 1, participants engaged with both Japanese and Taiwanese perspectives, reexamined the challenges facing their own companies and regions, and built learning that connects to future action. Meeting peers with different experiences and values also became an important foundation for that learning.

Completion is a starting point for new practice. Through each participant's challenges in their workplace and community, and through the connections that continue after the program, we will carry the learning born from crossing borders into the future.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the participants, their sponsoring companies, the lecturers and mentors, and all of our partners in Japan and Taiwan.
