Shigehito Tokumitsu

Director, Radium Kagaya International Hotel (日勝生加賀屋國際溫泉飯店)

Born in 1961 in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture.
Graduated from the Faculty of Education, Kanazawa University.

He joined The Big Sports Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Osaka) as a tennis coach, and began living in Taiwan in 1995 as head of its local subsidiary.
When the subsidiary withdrew in 2003 due to SARS, he took the opportunity to start his own business in Taiwan and worked to bring Kagaya, the long-established ryokan of Wakura Onsen, to Taiwan.
He is now a director and adviser of Radium Kagaya in Taiwan.

His dream is to witness a ceremony establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and Taiwan. He serves as a bridge for Japan–Taiwan exchange, including activities honoring engineer Yoichi Hatta (a native of Kanazawa), who completed a major irrigation project in southern Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period.
