Professor Inoue leads research on computer system architecture that supports the information society of the next generation. In addition to higher performance and lower power consumption, he focuses on improving safety and reliability, aiming to realize flexible architectures that can optimize the balance of performance, energy consumption, and reliability according to the usage environment. Emphasizing an empirical approach through actual VLSI design rather than simulation in virtual environments alone, he contributes to building the foundations of a safe and stable information society.
