Hideki Yamamoto
M3 Inc.
Former Japan Representative, Minerva University
He spent more than 20 years in application development and marketing of high-performance chemical materials at Toray, DuPont, and 3M, with extensive expertise in new product development using high-performance synthetic fibers, high-performance industrial filters, and abrasive products.
After studying for an MBA in the UK in 2007, he joined Booz & Company (now PwC Strategy&), mainly supporting chemical materials manufacturers with business turnarounds, growth strategy, M&A strategy, and new business development.
In 2014, he founded AMS LLC to connect overseas chemical-materials ventures with Japanese companies.
Inspired by the learning environment and teaching methods at the University of Cambridge, where he studied, he began exploring whether a similar environment could be created in Japan after going independent. He soon encountered Minerva Schools at KGI (now Minerva University) and served as head of its Japan liaison office.
In 2017, to bring Minerva's mission of "reinventing education" to more people, he stepped down from that role and launched "Dream Project School," supporting the development of training and curricula for executive candidates at Japanese companies and universities.
1997: B.A. in Economics, Keio University; 2008: MBA, University of Cambridge.
